When is the next bead retreat?

August 5 - August 7, 2022

What bead knowledge do I need before I attend?

We recommend that you have a working knowledge of peyote, right angle weave, herringbone and cubic right angle weave stitches before attending.  While the teachers make every attempt to help students with every step of the projects, they cannot teach the basics stitches.  Check out your local bead shops and libraries for stitching tips.

What do I bring?

Bring any beading tools and supplies as required in the supply list for each class.  Bring your task lights, bead board, needles, fireline and/or thread, bead scoop, Post It Notes, pen/pencil, and beading glasses or magnifier.  The lodge will provide power cords and power strips should you need one.

Is there Bead Shopping?

For In Person classes, the instructor will have a trunk show and kits available for purchase,  unless indicated on the Home page under each project description.  Supply lists for each class will be sent to registered attendees approximately two months before the first day of class.

For Zoom classes, kits for each class is mandatory.  Instructor will send a Paypal Invoice approximately 2 months before the first day of class.

What if I do not pay my retreat fee in full two months prior to the retreat?

Failure to make the full/final payment by the due date will result in forfeiture of your payment(s) and registration will be cancelled.  While it is appreciated that this is two months prior to the retreat, this allows Queen City to fulfill its contractual obligations to the instructor, Cedar Crest Lodge without incurring additional costs which ultimately allow Queen City to keep the retreat fee as low as possible.
